This week has been early out at school. All week school has gotten out at 1:30, I live on a fairly busy street with a cemetery a few blocks away. Today is the burial for an officer of North Salt Lake who died while on duty. So right when school is to get out, the procession (I hope that is the right word) is passing my house to honor this officer. WOW! How amazing is it to see hundreds of police cars pass by with their lights on. From all over the state of Utah, these cars passed by to honor this man. Between that and a book I am reading that is about a man who was in the Marines. It reminds me of my gratitude I have for living in this country. Where we have so many freedoms that I know I take for granted each day. I am so THANKFUL for this freedom, so that I can choose each day what I want to do and how to live it. I am grateful for this officer who lost his life to serve our country and allow us to have the FREEDOM that we have.

I am thankful for....MY FAMILY!

I updated my blog a little bit today and added this picture of my little family! Even though it is over a year old. I love it! I have visited other blogs and a girl I went to school with put the idea in my head. It is the season of Thanksgiving so hopefully before the holiday gets here I can update a few times for what I am thankful for.
To start off, I am so very thankful for my family. I am so greatful for my husband and children. I have the best husband in the world (I think everyone says that right)! He is the very best DAD any child can have, he loves his children and loves spending time with them. He plays non-stop with them and all the giggles that are created are amazing! Mike makes my job as a mother so much easier. I know he takes a lot of the burden of being a mother off of my shoulders! I am so greatful for him and for the love he has for our family.
My children... Morgan is the sweetest little girl ever. She is the best big sister and a great helper! She loves to color or assemble some type of artwork. She is always making things for me and others. She is very thoughtful of other people and their needs. Jaden is such a fun loving little boy. He is so caring, he is the first to go without what he wants so others can have. He is very obedient and is so smart. He loves to play and go to school. Britton is starting to show is character. He loves all sports. He knows which sport is being played and will just sit and watch (even if it is golf). He loves to play football around the house and is ALWAYS the first to say THANK YOU! He will say thank you for everything and it is so cute to hear him say it!
So to start my season of gratitude off, MY FAMILY-is at the top of the list.

OMG!!! I am down to less than 100 days of being pregnant. It sure does go by fast, from this point on I think it is going to go even faster. I have Halloween, then Thanksgiving and Christmas and before I know it the end of January will be here! I am assuming this is going to be the last time I am pregnant so I am trying to enjoy it (since I wont experience it again), but I am just so much bigger then in the past and all the aches and pains are coming on so much sooner. The only thing not happening yet is heartburn, I'm sure that is on its way though! Now, I just need to get into baby mode. Am I going to go crazy and pull all my hair out with four? We still haven't a name that we both agree on, and its so much harder to pick out boy names than girl names. I guess I still have 99 days to decide! Wish me luck!

BYU vs. Utah

BUY vs. U of U

I don't know how this happened.... Some how I have a huge rivalry going on in my house. Morgan is all about the Cougars. As a little girl, she always wants BLUE, not pink because BLUE is for "GO COUGARS!" Jaden..just the opposite-RED! Everything has to be RED! Britton who is only 2 knows who he likes...all you have to say is go COUGARS and he looks at you and says... "NO-GO UTES!"

Church Canceled???

This morning we woke up to about 6 inches of snow.  It was so fun to look outside and see all the trees covered!  The kids loved it, and couldn't wait to run and play it it, so this morning they were out there in their PJ's (Jaden just in his undies).  I don't think Britton remembered the snow last year because he was so excited every time he got to go outside.  We have the late church block, so we had a lot of free time this morning to play.  After we got everyone dressed and ready for 1:00 church, we were out the door, and as we are leaving the snow begins to fall again.  We get to church and have baby blessings, so there we are on the front row!  In our ward everyone thinks the start time is 12:45 because if you are there any later then you are on the front row, so we are pretty used to that!  About half way through Sacrament, the power goes out.  Not just on and off, but totally out.  Pitch black in the we finish the meeting.  Those left sure did have to talk loud since the microphone no longer worked.   After the meeting, Church was dismissed.  Not to often do you hear about that.  Usually rain or shine, church will go on!

Another First Day...

Jaden waited and waited for this day to come. He started Pre-School a few days after Morgan started school and he was so sad that it wasn't his time to start school. The Pre-School waits until after Labor Day, to start. He is such a fun loving boy. He has a few kids in his class from last year, and he just can't wait to jump out of the car to run and play with all the kids. He always wants to be the first one to be dropped off, and the last one to be picked up. He loves to chase the girls at recess and thinks that show and tell is the neatest thing each week! Jaden is so full of energy, he is very obedient and loves to socialize. He is such a smart little boy, I want to get him reading before he starts Kindergarten!

Jaden and of his favorite friends at school!

He said what????

On Saturday night I went to Heartland to do some scrapbooking for a little girl time. On my way out the door, Jaden came running after me. I thought he was going to ask for a treat or something and he said....

Jaden- "Hey mom???"
Mom- "Yea bud?"
Jaden- "Have a great time okay!"
Mom- "What did you say? Did you just tell me to have a good time?"
Jaden- "Yea.....(with a huge grin on his face)"

I have a bunch of sweet kids.....I LOVE YOU!

First Grade!

Wow....Am I really this far behind? A little over a month ago, Morgan
got to start the First Grade! I can not believe how time flies, it seems
she just went to Pre-School. So far, she is totally loving school. She
loves recess and lunch time. Morgan is such a sweetheart, the other
day when picking her up from school her teacher stopped me (she does the cross walk in front) and wanted to tell me what had happened that day. Here is the story.... Since the beginning of school, her class has been
learning that they are a "NUT FREE ZONE!" She has a little girl in her class who has extremely bad peanut allergies. Morgan has been loving the fact that I have made her a "HOME LUNCH" for the last few weeks.
A reward her group had received for getting 10 points was that they got to eat lunch in the classroom with her teacher. They were so excited, but Morgan realized that she was on the same table as this girl with the nut allergies, and Morgan had brought a PB&Honey sandwich from home. Her teacher told me that Morgans eyes filled up with tears and was so worried that she was going to make this little girl sick and have to go to the hospital because she had the PB on her sandwich. Morgan has always been such a loving caring little girl and I can not believe how time flies. What a sweetheart you are I love you!

Six weeks.....ALREADY!

Six weeks ago Morgan got to go on a fun "GIRLS" outing. We have been trying for years to get her to stop sucking her fingers. The goal was if she stopped, she would get her ears pierced. She stopped towards the end of winter and it took me this long to honor my word...What a beautful little princess with her new "BLING"....

** Before **

** During **

This is as bad as she got, no tears actually fell from her eyes, they just filled up that was it! What a brave little girl. Oh and by the way, she had to do one at a time!

Now that it has been six weeks since the time of her piercings, she gets to take out the earings and can put different ones in. I am fine if she just wants to leave them in for as long as possible, who knows what it will be like to actually see if she will let me take them out!

** After **

You are such a BEAUTIFUL little girl Morgan, I can't believe how fast you are growing up! I love you!

Two....and Trouble!

My baby is TWO! I can not believe how fast time goes by. The older I am getting the faster time goes. Britton is such a loving little boy, he loves to play with his brother and sister and is starting to warm up to other kids in nursery (even though he doesn't go)! He loves to sit in HIS spot and watch Mikckymouse Clubhouse. When he gets out of bed, he comes with his blanket and pillow (as many as he can find) He still loves his binky, but is an incredible athlete. He loves all sports, and knows the names of each that he watches and plays. Every night he plays a little hockey with his dad around the house, even if the sticks are put away, he will find them. He loved his party and the fact that "diesel" came, (Mariannes dog)! He is so lucky to have such a loving family! Thank you the way Whit, he is still nervous about the dinosour!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Val Verda Stake Trek 2008....Ma and Pa Tidwell Family!

Here is my cute little family on day one. Does it look like anyone knows anyone? Nope, we started with a shy family and no one knew what to think. What a bunch of cuties!

We had to set up camp for a few nights, how creative can we get??? We had to cover up 12 people in the little place! Nice and cozy...
Wednesday all 188 kids went on a "faith" walk, hand in hand they winded, climbed, triped and relied on each other.
The girls favorite part of each day was trying to get in time to braid their hair. It was so fun and relaxing to sit and get your hair done when the rest of you was dirty and stinky.
And the best part....riding the pony!!
We had such a neat experience on trek. Neither Mike nor I had the experience in our youth and it was so fun! So much hard work and preparation went into putting this event on! We can only hope to be able to have the chance to do it again. We learned so much about our family history, the youth today, and ourselves!

Summer Fun!

We got to go on a super fun trip with friends to Lake Mead in June. We had so much fun laying in the sun, boating and hanging out in the water. Our friends moved to Virginia last year and it was so nice to visit and let the kids run around. Thanks for the great trip Porters!
Morgan surfing with her daddy.....

Jaden on the surf board. Just letting go!

Even Britton loved the surf board....

Looks like the kids must be having fun!

Jaden had his first year of baseball this year. It was so fun to watch him. He is such an athlete. He loves interacting with all the kids. He was the younges on his time. The team consisted of 4,5 and 6 year olds. He did so good. Best of all, he was on grandpa's favorite team. GO BRAVES!

I am sure alot of you have guessed, or assumed but finally the news is out! We are going to have another baby! This makes baby #4...that is scary! I went to the dr. today to make sure all is well before we head off for trek on Monday. Everything looks great. A normal growing jellybean! I have always been one to keep my secret for a while to make the pregnancy go by quicker but I just couldn't do it this time! This was totally not planned and came as a total shocker. It has taken us some time to get used to the fact, but another winter baby is in our forecast. I am due on January 27, 2009. Jaden and Britton were born the exact same timing. If that is the case with this baby, it will come on my birthday!
I do have a lot to update on my blog, I will blame it on getting pregnant as to why it isnt updated! There is a lot of fun to show off! I'll get up to date soon! I sure hope I don't go completly crazy with this last baby on the way!

Saturday Morgan had her end of year dance recital.
The theme was dancing is the universal language!  It was
fun to see all the classes doing different types of dances.  Her teacher
is the absolute best!  Not only does she always have the perfect
costumes with the best detail, but the music and choreography
is the best!  She is starting to LOVE dance... which makes me
so happy.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and pause the
music so you can hear the music to her dance.

I love this time of year. I actually really enjoy gardening. I am not so good at the design of it, but I do love to maintain the finished product. My favorite things are flowers and tomatoes. I have never been able to find flowers I love. Any suggestions?? I have always planted petunias (a tradition from my mother). I am looking at doing something bright and colorful this year.
I hopefully will have them done by then end of the weekend!

Who is this hadsome boy??

I finally came to terms with giving Britton his first hair cut, and what do I do??
Shave him bald! He was such a good kid sitting so still and was so very excited to be like
his BIG brother Jaden! At eighteen months, I guss it is time. I was so sad at first, I felt that it took
away from his personallity and everything. Now I LOVE it, new attitude and all!

What a CRAZY hair do!
