Christmas 2008!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The kids are at such a fun age! We finally have our days figured out between all of our family so it doesn't seem like we are running, running, running! Christmas Eve we spent the evening at Tidwells with all the cousins. There are a lot of little ones running around when we all get together and they have so much fun playing. Grandma got them all matching PJ'S...Spiderman for the boys and Princess for the girls! Christmas morning we got to spend at home and that afternoon went up to the Smiths to play with those cousins. We had a yummy fondue dinner, and of course our fun Lagoon passes from grandma and grandpa. We sure do love that, so we can have a fun filled summer! Thank you all for such a wonderful year!

Morgan asked Santa for her very own "Apple" computer....She must have been very good!

Morgan and Jaden wanted to get Britton his own scooter so he could play outside with them this year. Thanks to Whitney he was lucky to get Batman instead of Diego!
Jaden got a huge race track that has two cars with remote controls that you race. It's so big!

Merry Christmas!

Chuck-E-Cheese....

Jaden and our neighbor Shilo both share December birthdays. So we took the families to the new Chuck-E-Cheese in Layton. We had a blast. The pizza was okay, I've had better and worse, unlimited drinks (always a plus), and about a million tokens.

I sent the kids off with a cup of about 20 tokens each...finally when the pizza came, they still had a hand full of tokens. I thought they would go a lot faster than they did.
After we ate, I went to check on the kids...here is what I found Jaden doing....and I swear an hour later, here is what I found Jaden doing....

Britton enjoyed the games as well...he wasnt about to share his shot gun either!

Morgan and Shilo were entertained with the ones that would print out your pictures. And I think Mike enjoyed it the most, since this was his activity the whole time (there was a football throwing game and basketball that he traded off with)!

All in all it was a great night with lots of entertainment all for about $40.00....not to bad!

Jaden turns FIVE.....

We've had the kids in skating lessons, so for Jadens birthday we decided to have a skating party! All of the kids did so good on the ice...even the adults can skate.

Cade, Jaden and Britton
Taking a break for some cake and ice cream...

Getting ready to go on the ice again. We all had a great time and the "BIRTHDAY BOY" loved his party with all his cousins!
Thank you everyone!

I am THANKFUL for....my FREEDOM!

This week has been early out at school. All week school has gotten out at 1:30, I live on a fairly busy street with a cemetery a few blocks away. Today is the burial for an officer of North Salt Lake who died while on duty. So right when school is to get out, the procession (I hope that is the right word) is passing my house to honor this officer. WOW! How amazing is it to see hundreds of police cars pass by with their lights on. From all over the state of Utah, these cars passed by to honor this man. Between that and a book I am reading that is about a man who was in the Marines. It reminds me of my gratitude I have for living in this country. Where we have so many freedoms that I know I take for granted each day. I am so THANKFUL for this freedom, so that I can choose each day what I want to do and how to live it. I am grateful for this officer who lost his life to serve our country and allow us to have the FREEDOM that we have.

I am thankful for....MY FAMILY!

I updated my blog a little bit today and added this picture of my little family! Even though it is over a year old. I love it! I have visited other blogs and a girl I went to school with put the idea in my head. It is the season of Thanksgiving so hopefully before the holiday gets here I can update a few times for what I am thankful for.
To start off, I am so very thankful for my family. I am so greatful for my husband and children. I have the best husband in the world (I think everyone says that right)! He is the very best DAD any child can have, he loves his children and loves spending time with them. He plays non-stop with them and all the giggles that are created are amazing! Mike makes my job as a mother so much easier. I know he takes a lot of the burden of being a mother off of my shoulders! I am so greatful for him and for the love he has for our family.
My children... Morgan is the sweetest little girl ever. She is the best big sister and a great helper! She loves to color or assemble some type of artwork. She is always making things for me and others. She is very thoughtful of other people and their needs. Jaden is such a fun loving little boy. He is so caring, he is the first to go without what he wants so others can have. He is very obedient and is so smart. He loves to play and go to school. Britton is starting to show is character. He loves all sports. He knows which sport is being played and will just sit and watch (even if it is golf). He loves to play football around the house and is ALWAYS the first to say THANK YOU! He will say thank you for everything and it is so cute to hear him say it!
So to start my season of gratitude off, MY FAMILY-is at the top of the list.
